Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies
Poopularity uses a small number of first-party cookies needed to keep voting limits and signed-in sessions working. They are not used to advertise, build a profile, or follow you across other websites.
- Voting cookie β a random device identifier used for the daily voting limit.
- Session cookie β only when you sign in with Google.
- Admin cookie β only for the operator's private panel.
- Short-lived sign-in marker β held for up to one minute so the site can distinguish a Google login from a new account. It contains no email, name or account ID and expires automatically.
Optional Google Analytics
If you choose Accept analytics, we load Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic, page views, voting actions, Pass usage, checkout and confirmed purchases. Analytics is not loaded until you choose it. If you decline, no Analytics tag is loaded.
We send controlled product context such as vote type, category, page type and anonymous or logged-in state. We do not deliberately send email addresses, names, usernames, vote text, Stripe secrets, payment details, or account identifiers to GA4. Google may process technical data as described in its own terms and policies.
Advertising storage and advertising signals remain denied. Poopularity does not run ads or sell personal data.
Your choice and a few browser-only deduplication markers are kept in first-party local or session storage. They are not sent to Poopularity and can be removed through your browser settings.
Your choice
You can accept or decline optional analytics below. Changing from accepted to declined reloads the page so the optional tag is removed from the current browser session.
